Disappointing retail sales numbers for December were released this morning. without auto sales, the number would have been negative in December . This came off stronger numbers for October and November, When consumer credit exploded. Now with the earnings season just getting on the way, We have not heard from the retail sector. Do you feel the consumer can continue to drive this economy as it did in the past ? or has something fundamentally changed ?
